Educação em saúde na adolescência

A educação em saúde representa uma estratégia na formação de comportamentos que promovam ou mantenhamuma boa saúde. Assim, realizou-se um questionário a 244 adolescente de uma escola particular da cidade de
Araraquara (SP) para analisar o conhecimento sobre saúde. Os resultados demonstraram que apesar de 85,4%
dos adolescentes afirmarem saber o conceito de saúde apenas 8,6% apresentava realmente este conhecimento.
Os adolescentes conversam pouco sobre saúde (29%) sendo que 11,4% o fazem quando estão com problemas.
De acordo com os adolescentes, as informações e educação para promoção de saúde devem partir dos profissionais
da área (62,1%). Embora os adolescentes afirmem ter conhecimento sobre saúde, seus conceitos apresentam-
se desorganizados. Assim, tanto os profissionais de saúde quanto os da educação devem assumir o compromisso
de conscientizar a população quanto ao verdadeiro conceito de saúde.
