About the Journal

Brazilian Dental Science (BDS) is an annual, continuous-flow scientific publication of the Instituto de Ciência e Tecnologia de São José dos Campos - UNESP. All articles published by BDS are open access and undergo single-blind peer review (where the reviewers remain anonymous to the authors). After acceptance, articles are promptly available for everyone to read and download.

Mission

To disseminate and promote the interchange of scientific information amongst the national and international dental community, by means of basic and applied research.

Policy

Editorial policy of Brazilian Dental Science (BDS) is to welcome submissions from academics throughout the world, rather than just publish research from Brazilian institutions or Brazilian academics, in the categories of Clinical Research, Laboratory Research, Short communications, Reviews, Clinical Techniques/Case Reports and Invited Papers, as well as Editorials, Letters and Abstracts. Online submission and editorial system available at BDS website.

Audience

Orofacial research scientists, materials scientists, clinicians, students of dentistry, and dental and medical device manufacturers.
