About the Journal

Brazilian Dental Science (BDS) is an annual, continuous-flow scientific publication of the Instituto de Ciência e Tecnologia de São José dos Campos - UNESP. All articles published by BDS are open access and undergo single-blind peer review (where the reviewers remain anonymous to the authors). After acceptance, articles are promptly available for everyone to read and download.
FOCUS AND SCOPE 
Brazilian Dental Science (BDS) is dedicated to disseminating and promoting the interchange of scientific information within the national and international dental communities through basic and applied research. The journal’s scope encompasses Clinical and Laboratory Research, Short Communications, Reviews, Clinical Techniques/Case Presentations, Invited Papers, Editorials, Letters, and Abstracts, welcoming contributions from academics worldwide. All published articles are open access and undergo a single-blind peer review process (where the reviewers remain anonymous to the authors), ensuring immediate availability for reading and download upon acceptance. BDS serves a diverse audience, including orofacial and materials research scientists, clinicians, dentistry students, and dental or medical device manufacturers. 
MISSION
To disseminate and promote the interchange of scientific information amongst the national and international dental community, by means of basic and applied research.
POLICY
Editorial policy of Brazilian Dental Science (BDS) is to welcome submissions from academics throughout the world, rather than just publish research from Brazilian institutions or Brazilian academics, in the categories of Clinical Research, Laboratory Research, Short communications, Reviews, Clinical Techniques/Case Presentations and Invited Papers, as well as Editorials, Letters and Abstracts. Online submission and editorial system available at BDS website
